If you love delivery pizza but are tired of the usual way of eating it, there are several creative ways that you can spice up your favorite takeout food. Finding new ways to serve the savory pies will also come in handy for when you're hosting a pizza party but want a more refined way of  presenting it.

You can use these tips and tricks when hosting a variety of special events, such as kids birthday parties, holiday get-togethers, baby or bridal showers, or anniversary or graduation celebrations. Although the pizza will taste just as good, it will look more appealing and be more fun to eat.

Here are some out-of-the-box ways of serving delivery pizza:

1. Pizza Strips

Cutting pizza into breadstick-shaped strips will be ideal if you have several different types of pies and want guests to be able to sample them all, or if you're serving the cheesy treat as an appetizer. Pizza strips will also be easier for kids to eat, especially young children with smaller appetites.

Present the strips by laying them out on wooden cutting boards or serving trays with little signs saying what each kind is, and allowing guests to pick and choose their favorites. You can also serve a few dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing or marinara in individual plastic cups.

2. Pizza Rolls

Another easy-to-eat and very kid-friendly way to serve pizza is by turning it into small rolls. Cut the pizza into thin, 2-inch strips, and roll them up pinwheel-style. Secure the rolls with toothpicks. As a festive touch, choose picks with designs that coordinate with the party theme, such as flags for a Fourth of July bash, or hearts for a Valentine's Day soiree.

Again, serve the rolls with a variety of dipping sauces.

3. Cheese Pizza and Tomato Soup

As a creative twist on the popular grilled cheese and tomato soup duo, serve plain cheese pizza instead. This combination will be especially perfect for cold weather celebrations when guest can use a much-needed warm up.

Present pizza slices on individual plates along with bowls of tomato soup, so that guests can take one of each from the buffet table and sit down.

4. Add Unexpected Touches

Get adventurous but adding creative touches to boring delivery pizzas before the guests arrive. For instance, enhance a Margherita-style pizza featuring fresh mozzarella and basil with a handful of arugula for a peppery kick.

As another bistro-inspired touch, top a plain cheese pie with sauteed eggplant, prosciutto, roasted pine nuts or fresh Parmesan cheese shavings. For more information, contact companies like Original Italian Pizza Pa.
